Amit Shah, Rahul Gandhi to Campaign in Odisha Today

Bhubaneswar: Senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi are scheduled to campaign for their respective parties in Odisha on Wednesday ahead of the second-round voting in the state on May 20.

Rahul will take part in a bike rally from RTO square to Kalamandal square in Balangir, said the Congress candidate for Balangir Assembly constituency Samarendra Mishra informed the media.

After the bike rally, Rahul Gandhi will address an election rally at Koshal Kalamandal ground at around noon.

Amit Shah will arrive in Bhubaneswar at around 12.30 pm to travel to Suroda in the Ganjam district to address a public meeting. From Surada the Union Minister will fly to Boudh to take part in a public meeting at around 3.30 pm. He will reach Cuttack in the evening to take part in a roadshow.

Amit Sha’s roadshow will start from Gopabandhu park and travel through Buxi Bazaar, Tinikonia Bagicha, Dargha Bazaar, Choudhry Bazaar, Naya Sarak, Balu Bazaar, Chandni Chouk and Mohammadia Bazaar to culminate at Chandi Mandir square.

On Wednesday evening, BJP national president J P Nadda will arrive in Odisha on a two-day visit. He is expected to take part in political meetings in Bhubaneswar and Sundargarh on May 16.

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge will also be in Odisha on May 16 and attend a public meeting in Kandhamal.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also scheduled to visit Odisha again on May 20 to hold a roadshow in Puri, and later address two rallies in Cuttack and Angul.
