BJP Report Mentions 10 Reasons for Its Bad Performance in UP, Check Out

New Delhi: The BJP has prepared a 15-page report on the factors that led to its debacle in Uttar Pradesh in the last Lok Sabha polls.

This report was drafted on the basis of feedback from 40,000 BJP workers across the 80 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh.

As per the report, these are the reasons behind the BJP’s bad poll performance in UP.

*Arbitrariness and high-handedness of officials and administration in the state.

*Dissatisfaction of party workers towards the government.

Paper leaks in government jobs continuously for the last 6 years.

*The opposition’s issue of abolition of reservations gained momentum due to the state government giving priority to people of the general category in the recruitment of contract workers for government jobs.

*The Rajput community’s displeasure with the party.

*Statements given by party leaders on changing the Constitution.

*Worker enthusiasm reduced till the 6th and 7th phases of voting due to early ticket distribution.

*The old pension issue resonated among government officials.

*The Agnipath recruitment scheme for Army personnel became a big issue.

*The names of BJP’s core voters were removed from the voters’ list by election officials at the lower level. In almost all seats, 30,000-40,000 names of the party’s core voters were removed.

The internal report also stated that BJP’s vote bank from non-Yadav OBCs (Kurmi, Kori, Maurya, Shakya and Lodh castes) had decreased. It also mentioned that the fall in the Dalit vote share of Mayawati’s Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) was behind the Congress’s improved performance.
