Cops On Alert To Arrest Prajwal Revanna As He’s Set to Touch Down on Friday

Bengaluru: Suspended JD(S) MP, Prajwal Revanna, facing sexual abuse allegations, is scheduled to arrive in Bengaluru from Munich on May 30, expected to touch down in the early hours of May 31. Despite a rejected anticipatory bail plea, he remains under the radar of law enforcement agencies.

Reports reveal that Revanna, grandson of JDS supremo HD Deve Gowda, has booked a Lufthansa Airlines flight departing Munich on May 30 afternoon, arriving in Bengaluru at 12.05 am on Friday. Cops are set to execute an arrest warrant upon his arrival.

Revanna, currently seeking re-election as the NDA candidate from the Hassan Lok Sabha segment, fled the country on May 27 after the Karnataka State Commission for Women requested an investigation into allegations of sexual assault. Three cases have been registered against him so far.

Despite releasing a video message committing to join the inquiry on May 31, Revanna’s actions have drawn suspicion. He previously cancelled flight bookings from Germany twice.

Meanwhile, searches at Revanna’s residence in Hassan yielded incriminating materials, with SIT conducting extensive searches until late hours on Tuesday.

Revanna’s attempts to secure anticipatory bail were thwarted by the Special Court for Elected Representatives. Home Minister G Parameshwara affirmed that Revanna will be arrested upon arrival at the airport, emphasizing the necessity of adhering to the warrant issued against him.

In a separate case, Revanna’s father, JD(S) MLA HD Revanna, was arrested for alleged involvement in a kidnapping case, currently out on bail. Revanna’s mother, Bhavani Revanna, has also filed for anticipatory bail in connection to the same case.
