Delhi Teen Acid Attack: Police Nab Three Accused

New Delhi: In a recent development to Delhi’s 17-year-old girl acid attack incident, police arrested three persons on Wednesday in this connection.

The police had earlier detained one of the accused based on the survivor’s statement.

The police have also recovered the bike that was used by the accused.

The key accused, Sachin Arora, was in a relationship with the teen and attacked the girl after their break up three months ago, the police said.

He ordered the acid online from Flipkart. Sachin planned the attack with the two others arrested in the case – Harshit and Virendra. Sachin rode pillion on the bike, sitting behind Harshit.

At the time of the attack, Virendra, the third accused, went to some other location with Sachin’s mobile phone and his scooty so that an alibi can be created, the police said.

A chemical examination will be conducted on the acid to find how deadly it was.

The police were informed of an acid attack in Delhi’s Mohan Garden area around 9 am today.
