Haridwar Schools to be Closed from July 27-August 2 Due to Overcrowding of Kanwariyas

Haridwar: All schools in Haridwar will remain closed from July 27 to August 2 because of the overcrowding of devotees during the ongoing Kanwar Yatra.

The Kanwar Yatra began on Monday. A large number of devotees are arriving in Haridwar to collect water from the holy Ganga river.

Haridwar district administration decided to close the schools as the rush of Kanwariyas is expected rise over the next few days. As per the decision of the administration, all government and private schools from class 1 to 12 as well as all anganwadi kendras in the Haridwar district t will remain closed from July 27 to August 2.
