WATCH: Drunk BMW Driver Plows into Scooter Rider in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A civic body employee sustained injuries when a speeding SUV collided with their scooter in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, according to the police. The driver of the BMW involved in the accident was allegedly intoxicated. The incident was captured on a security camera and quickly went viral on social media.

The CCTV footage depicts the scooter rider reducing speed as the car approaches from the opposite direction and crashes into the two-wheeler. The injured man, employed by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), has been hospitalized for medical treatment.

This incident follows another tragic accident in the city where two women and a child lost their lives while taking a morning walk. A viral video of the incident shows a car skidding on the road at high speed, striking the pedestrians on the roadside, and eventually crashing into the bushes.

Authorities have arrested the car’s driver and three other occupants who had fled the scene following the accident. The investigation is underway.
