Lenovo Under Scrutiny: Tax Probe at Puducherry and Bengaluru Sites

Bengaluru: Income tax authorities raided a Lenovo Puducherry factory and a Bengaluru office of the Chinese Personal Computer manufacturer on Wednesday, according to reports.

During the visit, tax officials examined Lenovo employees’ laptops and attempted to contact the company’s senior management as part of the investigation.

Lenovo, acknowledging the visit, expressed its cooperation with the authorities and commitment to complying with all relevant laws and regulations in the jurisdictions it operates in.

The exact reason for the visit remains undisclosed at this time.

Earlier in the day, tax officers also conducted inspections at the facilities of contract manufacturer Flex Ltd in Tamil Nadu.
