Low-Pressure to Transform into Depression on Bay of Bengal Around Nov 27

Bhubaneswar:  A low-pressure area may form over the Andaman Sea on November 26 and it is likely to move westward and north-westward to transform into a depression over south-east Bay of Bengal around November 27.

“ Scattered to broken low and medium clouds with embedded intense to very intense convection lay over southwest Bay of Bengal off north Tamil Nadu & east Sri Lanka coasts. Scattered low and medium clouds with embedded moderate to intense convection lay over westcentral Bay of Bengal & Andaman sea and isolated weak to moderate convection lay over rest of Bay of Bengal,” said the IMD.

Earlier this month, the cyclonic storm Midhili formed over the Bay of Bengal and crossed the Bangladesh coast.
