Pond Embankment Collapse in Madhya Pradesh Sweeps Away 8

Jhabua (MP): A tragic incident occurred on a rainy Saturday night in Bahadur Pada village, Thandla tehsil, when the embankment of a pond collapsed, sweeping away eight individuals.

Two bodies have been recovered so far, but the search continues for the remaining six victims, including three women and three children. The collapse of the embankment has caused a significant emergency response effort in the area.

The pond in question was constructed around two to two and a half decades ago by the state rural engineering department. This incident highlights the importance of maintaining and inspecting infrastructure regularly to prevent such unfortunate accidents.
