Manik Saha Set To Become Tripura CM Again

Agartala: Manik Saha will continue as the Chief Minister of Tripura. This is for the second time, and Saha decided to take the charge. Saha’s party BJP and its ally IPFT returned to power in Tripura winning 33 seats in the 60-member assembly.

The swearing-in-ceremony of the Chief Minister and the new council of ministers would be held on Wednesday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP President JP Nadda are expected to attend the event.

In the recently concluded state election, the BJP won 32 seats of the 60-member Assembly. The Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT), BJP’s ally, won one seat.

The oath-taking ceremony of the chief minister and cabinet ministers will take place on March 8. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take part in the ceremony.
