WATCH: Sonia Gandhi’s Witty Reply to Women Farmers’ Question About Rahul’s Marriage

New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has been engaging with women farmers from Haryana’s Sonipat to connect with the public. He shared light-hearted moments with them along with his sister Priyanka Gandhi and mother Sonia Gandhi. During a luncheon at Sonia Gandhi’s residence, one woman farmer playfully suggested getting Rahul married, to which Sonia Gandhi replied in jest, “Find a girl.” Rahul assured that it will happen.

Fulfilling his promise, Rahul invited women farmers to Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s home in Delhi, where they shared a meal and discussed important topics like women empowerment, GST, and rising prices of essential items.

In a video shared on social media, the Gandhis are seen enjoying the company of the rural women, with Rahul distributing chocolates to the children and girls. The women expressed their concerns about inflation and the high prices of medicines, fertilizers, electricity, and GST.

During the interaction, Rahul emphasized empowering women and encouraging them to express themselves fearlessly. The video also captured Priyanka Gandhi recalling her childhood memories with Rahul and playfully mentioning his mischievous nature.

Earlier, during an informal chat, Rahul expressed his openness to marriage but mentioned that his parents’ loving marriage had set a high bar. He said he would marry when the right girl comes along.

In early July, Rahul Gandhi visited Sonipat’s Madina village, interacted with the locals, and promised to show them around Delhi as they had never been to the national capital before.
