Ram Temple Consecration: Rajasthan Declares Dry Day on January 22

Jaipur: Ahead of the grand ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, the Rajasthan government has announced a dry day on January 22. This decision communicated through an order issued by the joint secretary of the finance department (excise) on Sunday, is part of the preparations for the significant event.

Furthering the spirit of reverence, the Jaipur Municipal Corporation has also implemented temporary restrictions on meat sales within the city’s heritage area. Last week, Heritage Mayor Munesh Gurjar issued an order requiring all meat shops in the designated zone to remain closed on January 22nd.

Shortly thereafter, Greater Mayor Soumya Gurjar echoed these directives, ensuring consistent implementation across the heritage district.
