Woman Allegedly Hacked to Death in Connection to Partner-Swapping Scandal in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram: In a tragic turn of events, a 26-year-old woman, who had played a pivotal role as a complainant in a high-profile partner-swapping case in Kerala back in January 2022, was found brutally murdered at her father’s residence in Manarcadu, Kottayam.

The shocking incident came to light when the woman’s children discovered her lifeless body in a pool of blood on Saturday morning. The police were immediately notified, and an investigation has been launched to uncover the truth behind this heinous crime.

According to the initial police report, the woman was home alone at the time of the incident, with her father and brother being away, and the children playing outside. The father, however, has accused the woman’s husband of being responsible for her untimely demise.

The authorities have taken swift action, securing the crime scene and initiating a thorough investigation to ascertain the facts surrounding the case. The woman’s body has been transferred to Kottayam Medical College Hospital for further examination.

The murder victim had played a crucial role in exposing a partner-swapping racket that was unearthed earlier this year in Karukachal, Kottayam. In her complaint, she had alleged that her husband had coerced her into engaging in intimate relations with another person. The police had subsequently arrested seven individuals, including the woman’s husband, in connection with the case.

The investigation revealed a large network involved in exploiting and exchanging partners through social media platforms like Facebook Messenger and Telegram. Disturbingly, numerous individuals were identified as victims of sexual exploitation within this group.

Before her tragic demise, the victim’s brother had disclosed that she had endured severe torture inflicted by nine individuals associated with the partner-swapping group. Moreover, he accused her husband of threatening their children when she refused to comply with the group’s activities, adding another distressing layer to the already shocking case.
