Unable to Bear Migraine Pain, UP Cop Shoots Self

Lucknow: A trainee police sub-inspector allegedly ended his life by shooting himself with his service revolver in Uttar Pradesh’s Barabanki on Wednesday night. He shot himself in his room on the the premises of the Kothi police station.

The victim was identified as Arun Yadav (30). He was transferred to the place just two and a half months ago.

According to police, a suicide note was seized from the spot. In the suicide note, the deceased stated that his lost battle with migraine was the reason behind his suicide.

He had joined the police force in March 2023. After completing a year of training, he was posted as Sub-Inspector at Kothi Police Station in March 2024.

The suicide note indicated distress due to migraine issues as the motive behind his decision.
