Mother Hangs Herself After Allegedly Murdering 4 Children in Rajasthan

Jaipur: A distressing event unfolded in the Mandali area of Rajasthan’s Barmer district. A woman, identified as Urmila (27), hailing from Baniyawas village, reportedly took her own life by hanging herself after allegedly killing her four children.

The police stated that the woman had placed her four children, Bhavna (8), Vikram (5), Vimla (3), and Manisha (2), inside a grain drum and sealed it before ending her own life on Saturday evening.

The unfortunate incident occurred while Urmila’s husband, Jetharam, was away in Jodhpur for work. The police have preserved all five bodies in a mortuary for post-mortem examination.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the woman may have committed this tragic act due to marital discord with her husband, as stated by DSP Kamlesh Kumar.

The family members of the deceased woman have been notified about the incident, and further actions will be undertaken once they arrive.
