17-Yr-Old Kills Girlfriend After Finding Her Chatting With Another Boy on Insta

Ranchi: A 17-year-old boy allegedly beat his girlfriend to death with a metal rod in Jharkhand’s Godda district, when he found that she was chatting with another boy on Instagram. The accused has confessed his crime during interrogation, Jharkhand police sources said on Saturday.

The body of the deceased was discovered in a field on Thursday. She was missing from the day of Holi.

The accused teenager and the deceased girl were classmates at a reputed English medium school in Urjanagar. They had developed a romantic relationship.

But the boy was too possessive. He was enraged when he discovered that the girl was chatting with another boy on Instagram. In a rage, he hit her with an iron rod on Wednesday evening when she was going to her friend’s place to celebrate Holi. She died on the spot.
