2 Minor Boys Allege Sexual Exploitation by Teacher in Madrasa in Niali of Cuttack Dist

Cuttack: Two minor boys from outside Odisha escaped from a madrasa under Niali police station limits in Cuttack district on Monday night alleging sexual exploitation and physical torture by a teacher. They were rescued by Childline and police on Tuesday.

One of these boys is aged 13 years while the other is of 10 years. On Monday night some localites found them roaming aimlessly and informed the Childline and police. A PCR team of Commissionerate police rescued the children from the Apuja area.

Both children alleged that they were exploited by a teacher named Rizwan.

As per initial reports, one of these children is from Bihar’s Bhagalpur district while the other is from Godda district in Jharkhand. The accused Rizwan had brought them to the madrasa one and a half years back.

In this residential madrasa accused Rizwan teaches around 70 children. The escaped duo claimed that they were being sexually and physically abused by their teacher Rizwan since they came to the madrasa. When the children found the torture at the hands of their teacher unbearable they escaped.

Both children will be produced before the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) for the decision regarding their future. An investigation has started regarding the grave allegation made by them against their teacher.
