2 Pakistani Terrorists Nabbed in Greece; Were Planning to Attack Jewish Establishment

Two Pakistani terrorists allegedly planning to attack Jewish and Israeli targets were arrested by Greece police, reported The Wall Street Journal citing officials.

The anti-terrorist division of Greek police and the country’s intelligence services unearthed this Pakistani terrorist network. According to Greek police, this terrorist network planned “to cause the loss of life of innocent citizens but also to undermine the sense of security in the country.”

Greece’s Public Order Minister Takis Theodorikakos identified the two foreigners as Pakistanis. Theodorikakos further said that the mastermind behind the operation was a Pakistani residing in Iran. The target was a Jewish restaurant. The Greek police said that the network was looking to recruit more people for executing their mission. Israeli intelligence service Mossad helped Greek authorities in discovering the alleged terror network with its link to Iran; The Wall Street Journal reported citing the statement from the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office.
