23 Injured After Pick-Up Van Overturns on Ghat Road in Sundargarh

Sundargarh: Over 23 persons were injured today after a pick-up van carrying them overturned on the Kulukuta ghat road under Tikayatpali police limits of Odisha’s Sundargarh district. Four of the total are critically injured.

According to sources, the pick-up van carrying members of a band party was following a ‘barat party’ which was on its way to Indrapur village in the Bonal subdivision of Sundargarh district from Sambalpur. The pick-up van overturned on Kulukuta ghat road due to the sudden failure of its brakes.

Reportedly, locals rescued all the occupants of the pick-up van and rushed them to the government hospital at Sarsara. Those who are critically injured were shifted to the Sub Divisional Hospital at Bonai.
