3 Accused of Amrit Kidnapping Case Nabbed

Nayagarh: Three person were arrested for allegedly kidnapping Amrit Patra in Odisha’s Nayagarh district. They will be forwarded to court tomorrow.

The accused were identified as Swapna Panda, Bhakta Darshan Panda and Sunil Panigrahi of Kural village.

The SP of Nayagarh, Alekh Chandra Pahi said that the police have seized the vehicle used by miscreants to abduct Amrit. The police have also seized lethal weapons from the abductors.

Amrit did not return home from tuition on Thursday evening. Being worried, Amrit’s family lodged a missing complaint at the local police station. Based on the complaint, a case was registered and the district police set up 4 teams to trace the missing child. Most likely it was a case of kidnapping as the child seems to be terrified.

Amrit was rescued from Kural village under Odagaon police limits. Reportedly, someone dropped the boy near his village in the wee hours of Monday.

After interrogating the minor boy, police reportedly nabbed the three persons.
