3 Arrested for Training Atiq Ahmed’s Killers to Pose as Journalists

Lucknow: Three persons, who trained the killers of gangster-politician Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf to pose as journalists, were arrested by the SIT of UP police investigating the case. The arrested persons worked for a local news website. They also helped the killers to buy a camera.

These three assailants were trained to behave like real journalists so that they could join a group of media persons at the hospital where the gangster brothers were shot dead.

The killers, Lovelesh Tiwari, Arun Maurya and Sunny Singh, had reached near Atiq Ahmed and his brother by posing as reporters. They had trailed the duo as journalists throughout the before shooting them in front of TV cameras and policemen on April 15.
