3 Killed 9 Injured in Myanmar Bomb Explosion

Three people were killed and nine others injured when an explosion occurred at a railway station in the Bago region of Myanmar on Monday.

Myanmar’s State Administration Council informed that the blast occurred at Nyaunglebin township of the Bago region, the information team said in a statement, reported Xinhua News Agency.  The blast occurred at around 12:20 pm local time (05:50 GMT).

A man and a woman died on the spot. Three men and seven women were seriously injured. One of them died in the hospital during medical treatment.

The military rulers of Myanmar blamed the anti-coup group “People’s Defence Forces” (PDFs) for the attack but did not offer any pieces of evidence to support the blame. Investigation into the incident is underway.
