6 Injured After Being Attacked by Wild Boar in Balasore

Balasore: Six persons, including four men and two women, were injured in a wild boar attack in Kesharipur village under the Soro police station area of Odisha’s Balasore district. Two of the six are said to be critical and have been admitted to a nearby health facility.

According to sources, one of the victims named Shivani Malik was sweeping the ground in front of her house on Tuesday morning when the wild boar attacked her from behind. As Shivani started shouting for help, villagers rushed to the spot and rescued them from the marauding boar. Shivani’s condition is said to be critical.

While rescuing her, the other five were injured due to the attack of the wild boar. All the injured persons were rushed to the nearby hospital immediately.

On being informed, the officials of the Forest department reached the spot and started to investigate the matter.
