AAP MLAs Saurabh, Atishi to be Delhi’s New Ministers After Resignation of Sisodia & Jain

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs Saurabh Bharadwaj and Atishi will be inducted as cabinet ministers in the Delhi government. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has sent their names to Delhi L-G VK Saxena for their induction as cabinet ministers.

Delhi Jal Board Vice Chairman Saurabh Bhardwaj was a transport minister in the Kejriwal cabinet and has been a key advisor to Manish Sisodia in the education sector.

A day ago, Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain, two key ministers of the Delhi cabinet resigned. They are now behind bars on separate charges. Sisodia was arrested by the CBI in the Delhi liquor scam case. Satyendar Jain is arrested by the ED for his alleged involvement in a money laundering case.

Sisodia was Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister and held several high-stakes portfolios, including education. Jain was Delhi’s health and prisons minister.

CM Kejriwal decided to induct two new ministers for smooth functioning of the government ahead of the Delhi budget presentation later next week.
