Acid Attack Because of Quarrel over Dog Litter

New Delhi: A man threw acid on the owner of a dog when their quarrel turned ugly in west Delhi on Saturday evening. They had quarreled over dog litter.

According to police sources, the victim was a 50-year-old man from the Uttam Nagar area of Delhi. A visual of the assailant throwing acid at him was recorded on a CCTV camera installed in the area.

The injured man was admitted to a hospital and his condition is stable, police sources said.

The victim was walking with his pet dog when he was confronted by his neighbor Kamal and his two sons, Rohit and Himansu. They alleged that the victim’s dog often littered in front of their house. This led to a heated argument.

In a rage, Kamal went inside his home and poured a bottle of acid used to clean toilets on the victim from the first-floor balcony.

Police have arrested Kamal and his two sons in relation to this incident.
