Hockey World Cup: India To Lock Horns With England Tonight, Hosts Eye Extension Of Winning Run

Rourkela: India will play England in their second game in the FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup 2023 on Sunday, January 15.

The Harmanpreet Singh-led hosts got their campaign off with a decisive 2-0 victory over Spain on Friday. Despite having many chances to score during the game, Team India was only able to do so twice.

The team’s goal scorers were midfielder Hardik Singh and vice-captain Amit Rohidas.

Amit Rohidas was awarded the Player of the Match award went to Rohidas.

The men in blue gained three points, moving them up to second in pool D standings.
