Adani Group Proposes to Establish 2 Medical Colleges in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Gautam Adani-led Adani Group plans to establish two medical colleges in Odisha’s Bhadrak and Rayagada districts.

According to sources, the initial process to identify land for these two proposed medical colleges has started in Bhadrak and Rayagada districts.

In December 2022, the Adani Group submitted a formal proposal to the Health and Family Welfare department for establishing these two medical colleges.

The Odisha government is promoting the setting up of medical colleges on PPP mode to upgrade medical care facilities at the district level. This is expected to benefit of public as well as will increase the number of doctors in Odisha.

Adani Group is operating the Dhamra Port in the Bhadrak district. It is planning to build a refinery and a captive power plant in Rayagada.
