Amit Shah Files Nomination from Gandhinagar Lok Sabha Seat

Gandhinagar: Union Home Minister Amit Shah filed his nomination from Gandhinagar, reminiscing his journey from a grassroots worker to a Member of Parliament. Shah, accompanied by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, submitted his papers at 12:39 pm, a time considered auspicious. He highlighted the pride in representing a constituency held by BJP stalwarts like LK Advani and Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

During his address to the media post-nomination, Shah emphasized the developmental projects worth Rs 22,000 crore sanctioned in Gandhinagar over the past five years. Hailing from a village in Gujarat’s Maansa, Shah’s political journey began early, inspired by the RSS. He started as a booth-level worker, eventually rising through the ranks to become BJP’s national president in 2014 and later, the Home Minister.

The turning point for Shah came in 1991 when he managed LK Advani’s successful campaign in Gandhinagar. Since then, he has been a key figure in Gujarat politics, earning the trust of leaders like Narendra Modi. His ascent continued, culminating in his appointment as Home Minister in 2019.
