Atiq Ahmed’s Fugitive Associate Guddu Muslim May Have Sought Shelter in Puri!

Bhubaneswar: As per reports, slain gangster-politician Atiq Ahmed’s close criminal associate, Guddu Muslim is suspected to have sought shelter in the holy city of Puri. Guddu Muslim is absconding since the double murder of Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf.

According to national media, the STF team of UP police tracked the last location of Guddu Muslim to Puri. Before that, his location was traced in Karnataka. To dodge the police he is frequently changing his places.

Guddu Muslim is one among the 10 accused named in the Umesh Pal murder case. Six of them have been killed. A massive manhunt is on to track down Guddu Muslim.

The closeness of Guddu Muslim with Atiq and Ashraf could be assessed from the last words of Ashraf before his death. “Main baat yeh hai ki Guddu Muslim… (the main point is that Guddu Muslim),” said Ashraf before he and his brother Atiq were shot dead.

Guddu Muslim is reportedly known as a ‘bomb specialist’.  He was seen to be hurling crude bombs while riding a pillion on a motorcycle during the murder of Umesh Pal.
