Bodies of 2 Youths Found in Jagatsinghpur; Suspected Victims of Hit-&-Run

Jagatsinghpur: The bodies of two missing youths were found dead from a roadside in  Jagatsinghpur district on Sunday.

The deceased identified as Dillip Sahu and Abhijit Singh of Gopalpur village in the district had gone to Cuttack on a bike for some work on Sunday. In the evening, they called up their homes telling that they were to return in the evening.

But they did not return home till late night. Later their families filed a missing complaint at Raghunathpur police station.

Later some locals found two bodies beside Jagatsinghpur-Tarapur road, around 5 km from Gopalpur village. Their bike was also found nearby.

During police investigation, they were identified as the two missing youths from Gopalpur.

The police suspected that they were victims of hit-and-run. Their bike was allegedly hit by some speeding vehicle that escaped from the spot after the youths’ bike from behind.
