Bollywood Triple Clash: Gadar 2, OMG 2 & Animal to Release on August 11

Mumbai: This August 11, it will be a clash between three much-awaited Bollywood movies. On this three films of different genres will try their luck in the theatres. They are Sunny Deol’s ‘Gadar 2’, ‘OMG 2’ starring Akshay Kumar, and Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Animal’.

The Anil Sharma-directed ‘Gadar 2’ is the sequel to 2001 hit ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’, starring Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma in the lead roles.

‘OMG 2’, is the sequel of ‘OMG: Oh My God’, the 2012 comedy drama starring Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal. This sequel is directed by Amit Rai. Its star cast includes Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, Yami Gautam, Arun Govil, and Aamir Naik. The film revolves around the education system in the country.

Sandeep Vanga Reddy, of ‘Kabir Singh’,  ‘Arjun Reddy’ fame, has directed ‘Animal’ starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Parineeti Chopra. It is a family succession gangster movie.

‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’ clashed with Aamir Khan’s ‘Lagaan’ in 2001. Both movies became blockbusters despite being period dramas.
