Both Houses of Parliament Continue to Witness Uproar Over Adani Group Matter & Other Issues

New Delhi: Both Houses of Parliament continued to witness uproar over the Joint Parliamentary Committee probe into the Adani Group matter and other issues.

This is the eleventh consecutive day of the second leg of the Budget Session when the proceedings of the Houses were disrupted. The Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha have been adjourned till 2 PM.

In the Lok Sabha, when the House met this morning, opposition members including Congress, DMK and others trooped into the good raising demand for the JPC probe.

TMC, JD(U), and others were on their feet. Members of the opposition parties were seen wearing black outfits to register their protest. Amid the din, the Presiding Officer adjourned the House till 2 PM.

Similar scenes were witnessed in the Rajya Sabha when the House assembled for the day. Members of the Congress party trooped into the well raising demand to constitute JPC on the Adani Group matter.

MPs of DMK, TMC, Left, RJD, Aam Aadmi Party, and others were on their feet. Members from Congress, DMK, Aam Aadmi Party, Samajwadi Party, Left, and others were seen wearing black outfits to register their protest. As the ruckus continued, Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar adjourned the House till 2 PM.

Earlier, the House congratulated women boxers Nikhat Zareen, Lovlina Borgohain, Nitu Ghanghas, and Saweety Boora for winning gold medals at the Women’s World Boxing Championships. Terming this an outstanding accomplishment, Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar said, this is an era of the resurgence of Nari Shakti.
