Brace Up for Severe Heat Wave Conditions in Next 4 Days in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The IMD has warned of severe heat wave conditions in some parts of Odisha during the next 3-4 days. Orange and Yellow warnings for severe heat wave and heat wave have been issued for several Odisha districts.

According to the IMD maximum temperature is likely to be above normal by 4-7°Celsius at a few places over the districts of Odisha during next 3 days. Hot and discomfort weather is to continue during the next 3-4 days.

Orange warning (Be Prepared) Heat wave to severe Heat wave conditions very likely to prevail at many places over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sonepur, Boudh, Bolangir, Cuttack, Khurda, Nayagarh, Kandhamal.

Yellow warning (Be updated) Heat wave conditions likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Nuapada, Kalahandi, Ganjam, Jajpur.

Day-2(18.06.2023)

Orange warning (Be Prepared) Heat wave to severe Heat wave conditions is very likely to prevail at a few places over the districts of Angul Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Bargarh, Sonepur, Boudh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Cuttack, Nayagarh, Khurda, Bolangir.

Yellow warning (Be updated) Heat wave condition likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Dhenkanal, Mayurbhanj, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, and Nuapada.
