Bus Overturns due to Heavy Fog; 12 injured

Khordha: A passenger bus overturned due to dense fog on the national highway passing through Khordha district of Odisha in the wee hours of Friday. Reportedly, the driver lost control of the vehicle due to low visibility because of dense fog. The incident took place on National Highway 57 near Baghmari. Luckily no one was killed in this accident. But 12 persons were injured.

The ill-fated bus was reportedly on its way to Khordha from Balangir. Due to heavy fog, the bus driver failed to observe the road properly. He lost control and drove into farmland near Baghmari petrol pump. This resulted in the overturning of the bus.

Locals and personnel of Baghmari Police rescued the injured passengers. The injured were admitted in Khordha district headquarters hospital. Two critically injured passengers were shifted to Bhubaneswar hospital.
