Carcass of Elephant Recovered in Odisha’s Dhenkanal

Dhenkanal: The carcass of an elephant was recovered near Ostapal village under the Sadar forest range in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district.

The carcass was spotted by some locals, who went to the forest. On spotting the elephant, they immediately informed the forest department.

On being informed, the forest department officials reached the spot and recovered the body. The personnel have informed that the elephant’s age is estimated to be 20 years.

The rangers have sent the carcass for autopsy and said that the cause of death can be ascertained only after post-mortem.
