Death Embraces a Father while He Dances for Daughter’s Wedding

Dehradun: pale of sadness engulfed the joyous atmosphere at a girl’s wedding when his father died of a heart attack while dancing. This heartrending incident took place at Almora of Uttarakhand on Sunday during the pre-wedding merry-making.

According to sources, the ill-fated father was dancing at the Mehndi ceremony of his daughter. All of a sudden he had a major cardiac arrest and fell to the ground.

Although he was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, the doctors found him dead. Police seized the body for autopsy.

The marriage ceremony was scheduled to be held at Haldwani. The marriage was not canceled or postponed even after the demise of the bride’s father.

Bride’s kanyadan was performed by her maternal uncle. The marriage ceremony was held in a simple manner without any pomp as a homage to the departed soul.
