Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government alerted all district administrations in view of IMD’s forecast of dense fog in parts of Odisha for the next three days.
Odisha Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) wrote a letter to the Collectors and SPs stating that dense fog is very likely to occur for three days starting from Saturday.
The SRC directed the police and transport officials to take necessary measures for the safe journey of vehicles on highways during dense fog avoiding road accidents.
On December 23, the foggy condition will prevail in the districts including Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Koraput.
Similarly, Puri, Khurday Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sundargarh, Keonjhar & Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Koraput will experience dense fog on December 24.
21 districts including Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Koraput, Kalahandi, Kandhamai, Balangir, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal will witness similar condition on December 25.
