Earthquake of 4.4 Magnitude in Nepal; Mild Tremors Felt in Delhi-NCR

New Delhi: An earthquake of 4.4 magnitude on the Richter scale hit Nepal on Wednesday afternoon. Delhi-NCR region also experienced mild tremors.

The epicenter of the earthquake was reported to be at a place 69 Km from Jumla in Nepal. It occurred at around 1.30 PM at a depth of 10 Km from the earth’s surface, reported the National Center of Seismology. During the past few months earthquakes of are being experienced in Nepal.  Earlier on January 24, a 5.8 magnitude intensity earthquake struck Nepal.

In November 2022, a 6.3 magnitude earthquake hit Nepal, killing at least six people. These persons died when a house collapsed in the Doti district.
