Former Indian Ambassador Abasar Beuria Passes Away at 80

Bhubaneswar: Former Indian Ambassador Abasar Beuria passed away at the age of 80. He died while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar.

According to sources, the former Indian ambassador suffered a cardiac arrest. He was admitted to the hospital after he complained of chest pain yesterday.

He is survived by his wife and daughter.

Abasar Beuria was a member of the Indian delegation in bilateral and multilateral international talks including Non-Alignment Summit, Commonwealth Heads of Governments Conference and G-77 Conventions etc. He had served in important Indian diplomatic mission in Japan, former Soviet Union presently Russia, United States of America, United Arab Emirates, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Madagascar.
