Google HR Fired While He was Interviewing Candidate for Recruitment

Google has already sacked around 12,000 employees. For most of these fired employees, the news came as unexpected shockers. Some discovered that they were no more in jobs, only when they could not access their accounts.

Such Google shockers have not spared the HR staff of the company. News about the sudden layoff of a Google recruiter is making rounds on social media. This recruiter and HR personnel of Google was in the middle of a recruitment interview when he lost his job.

This HR manager of Google was interviewing a potential candidate over a call. His call was suddenly disconnected. Later he discovered that he had been laid off. This former Google recruiter is Dan Lanigan Ryan, a recruiter for Morgan McKinley at Google’s Dublin office. He learned about his loss of his job only when his ongoing call with one of his candidates ended abruptly.

He tried to log in to an internal company website on Friday but failed to do so. Several other members of his team also complained about getting logged out of their systems. Later all of them received their layoff notices via email.

Ryan alleged that he was never served any formal notice about the firing from Google. Ryan was hired on a contract that was to end in September 2022 but Google extended it for a year.

Most fired employees of Google do not know anything about the basis of their layoffs.
