“I Gave My Best Effort”: Rohit Pujari After Being Dropped from Odisha Cabinet

Bhubaneswar: After losing the post of minister for Higher Education, Rohit Pujari said, “Chief Minister probably expected more from me, I gave my best effort. The Chief Minister blessed me a lot in the past. I have no regrets after being expelled from the cabinet. I will learn more and take up any responsibility that my party entrusts me.”

Senior BJD leader from western Odisha, Rohit Pujari lost his ministerial post on Friday. Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik recommended Odisha Governor to exclude Pujari from the state cabinet. The food and civil supplies minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak has been given additional charge of the Higher Education department.

Although government and BJD sources have not clarified the reason behind Rohit’s removal from the state cabinet, yet as per reports he was dropped from the ministry because of the alleged poor performance of the Higher Education Department. Recently the CM reviewed the performance of different ministries.

Pujari was included in Odisha cabinet in June 2022. Some political analysts suspect there may be some other political reason behind Pujari’s exclusion.
