India to take on Japan in FIH Hockey Men’s World Cup in Rourkela

Rourkela: In the FIH Hockey Men’s World Cup, India will clash with Japan at Birsa Munda hockey stadium in Rourkela today.

India has already crashed out of the title race. Six other teams will also play positional matches in the same stadium today. While South Africa will take on Malaysia, Wales will lock horns with France and Chile will clash with Argentina.

The last two quarter-finals were played in the Kalinga stadium in Bhubaneswar Odisha yesterday (January 25). Germany defeated England in the 3rd quarter-final, by 4-3, in a penalty shootout. While the Netherlands beat South Korea by 5-1 in the 4th quarter-final. Belgium and Australia have already reached the semi-finals.
