India to Witness Rise in Temperature in Next 5 Days, Says IMD

New Delhi: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a gradual rise in maximum temperature by 2 to 4 degrees centigrade over most parts of the country during the next five days.

It said the maximum temperatures will be in the range of 38 to 39 degrees centigrade over parts of West Bengal, interior Odisha, West Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Rayalaseema.

It said the temperature will rise gradually by two to four-degree centigrade over most parts of Northwest, West, Central, and East India. The weather office has also forecast that no heat wave conditions are likely over any part of the country during the next five days.

IMD has predicted the likelihood of thunderstorms with gusty winds over Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Maharashtra, and Chhattisgarh during the next two days. It said a cyclonic circulation lies over West Rajasthan and neighborhood in the mid-tropospheric level.

The weather office forecast light rainfall with thunderstorms and gusty winds over Odisha during the next three days and over Jharkhand tomorrow.
