New Delhi: The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has launched an innovative campaign called ‘Bharat In Paris’ to mark the countdown to India’s participation in the Paris Olympics 2024. This unique initiative combines sports and sustainability, showcasing India’s inclusivity, sportsmanship, and commitment to an eco-friendly environment.
Inspired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s recycled jacket, this initiative promotes a green India by creating jerseys from hemp, bamboo, and beechwood.
Additionally, the campaign follows the Sports Authority of India’s lead in providing digital certificates to participants, aligning with the government’s commitment to Digital India and sustainable practices.
To raise nationwide awareness for the Olympic Games, IOA, in collaboration with UNIV Sportatech, will organize 20 marathons and 5 cyclothons starting from 23rd June. These events, conducted with 12 state governments, aim to inspire Indian youth to pursue their sporting ambitions while embracing Olympism’s values.
The ‘Bharat In Paris’ campaign is the beginning of a series of initiatives leading up to the Olympic Games in 2024, showcasing IOA’s dedication to promoting sports and sustainability.
