India’s Accreditation System Ranked 5th Globally

New Delhi: India’s accreditation system under the Quality Council of India has been ranked 5th in the world. The global quality Infrastructure Index ranks 184 economies across the world on the basis of quality infrastructure.

The accreditation helps establish the competence and credibility of conformity assessment bodies which perform testing, certification and inspection.

Chairperson, of the Quality Council of India Jaxay Shah, has said the government is committed to making Made in India a globally trusted brand on the foundations of quality and credibility. He said this is the sign of a New India in the Amrit Kaal with a quality of the first approach.

Joint Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Sanjiv said India is endeavouring to reach the top position in the system of accreditation.
