Invitee Gives Birth to Baby Boy at ‘Mann Ki Baat@100’ National Conclave

New Delhi: A female invitee gave birth to a baby boy at the ‘National Conclave: Mann Ki Baat@100’held recently in New Delhi to celebrate the soon-to-be-aired 100 episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly radio address to citizens.

Poonam Devi was among the 100 special invitees to the event. She went into labour pain during the conclave and was immediately rushed to Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. She delivered a healthy baby boy at the hospital.

Poonam’s name was mentioned by PM Modi in a ‘Mann Ki Baat’ episode. She lives in a small village near Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh. She is member of a Self Help Group that creates various products like handbags, mats, and other items using fiber from banana stems. Their unique initiative has been widely adopted by several Self Help Groups in the area.

The ‘National Conclave: Mann Ki Baat@100’ event was inaugurated by Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar in the presence of Union Minister for Home Affairs Amit Shah, Railways Minister Ashwani Vaishnaw, and Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur.
