J&K’s Cong Spokesperson Leaves Party Ahead of Bharat Jodo Yatra’s Arrival in the Union Territory

Srinagar: Giving a shock to the Congress, its J&K spokesperson Deepika Pushkar Nath resigned from the party. Her resignation came ahead of the entry of Rahul Gandhi led ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ into Jammu and Kashmir.

Deepika took to Twitter to disclose her decision. According to her, it was her mode of protest against the inclusion of an alleged supporter of rape accused in the ‘Bharat Jodo yatra’.

In her Tweet, Deepika said her decision to resign from the Congress was due to the inclusion of former Jammu and Kashmir minister Choudhury Lal Singh in the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ led by Rahul Gandhi. She accused Lal Sigh was supporting the accused persons of the Kathua rape incident.

According to her, she was left with no other option but to resign from Congress as she cannot share the party platform with such a person on ideological grounds.
