Kanjhawala Horror Repeat in Delhi; Man Dragged by Car for 10 Km on Yamuna Expressway

New Delhi: Kanjhawala incident was repeated in Delhi as a car dragged a man’s body for almost 10 km on the Yamuna Expressway after a hit-and-run case. According to police sources, the car stopped near the Mathura toll block, when police recovered the mutilated body parts of the victim and sent them for autopsy.

The car was traveling to Noida from Agra. The body of the man was found to be stuck in the car by security personnel at a toll booth in Mathura’s Mant. The driver of the car was identified as Virendra Singh of Delhi. He has been taken into custody and is being interrogated by the police.

According to police sources, the accused driver claimed that there was a dense fog on the Expressway last night, hence there was the least visibility due to which the man met with some accident stuck with his car.

Shoes and a mobile phone were seized lying on milestone 106 of the Yamuna Expressway. It is suspected to be the accident site.

This recent hit-and-run incident replicates the Kanjhawala horror of January 1, when a 20-year-old woman, Anjali, died in the wee hours after being dragged for around 12 km from Sultanpuri to Kanjhawala in Delhi. Her scooter was hit by a car. Police had arrested over seven accused in the case, charging them with culpable homicide.
