Khiladi Akshay will play Shivaji Maharaj in Mahesh Manjrekar’s movie

Mumbai: Akshay Kumar will take up the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in a Marathi movie ‘Veer Marthe Veer Daudale Saat’. This magnum opus would directed by Mahesh Manjrekar. Apart from Marathi, this movie will also be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. This was announced at a grand ceremony held in Mumbai.

‘Veer Marthe Veer Daudale Saat’ is being produced by Vaseem Qureshi. Till last moment, Akshya’s role in the movie was kept secret by the production house. The grand function organised for the declaration of this movie was attended by Maharashtra Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief and founder, Raj Thackeray. Interestingly the invitation cards sent for the function did not mention anything about Akshay Kumar’s presence. Astonishing all the superstar made a sudden entry at the function. This movie based on Chhtrapati Shivaji’s life is all set to be released on Diwali 2023. Akshay Kumar has always preferred to have his movies released on Diwali. His Suryavanshi was the Diwali release of 2021 while Ram Setu enacted by him was for this year’s Diwali.
