Landslides Disrupt Train Services Between Mangaluru-Bengaluru in Karnataka

Bengaluru: Landslides near Sakleshpur and Alur on Saturday disrupted the train services between Mangaluru and Bengaluru. The landslip occurred at 12:30 am between Sakleshpur and Ballupete stations in the Mysuru Division.

Five train services were affected due to the landslides.

The Chief Public Relations Officer of South Western Railway, Hubballi, stated that relief materials and rescue teams have been dispatched, and restoration work is ongoing.

Train services between Bengaluru and Mangaluru was stopped following landslides on July 26 that had affected the tracks between Sakleshpur and Subrahmanya. The train services had resumed on the route on August 8.
